Mori and Nito, were born during the great Chogokin Period in the 70s—a time when the anime industry was undergoing a creative revolution that churned out such classics as Balatak, Mazinger Z, Voltes V, Mekanda Robo, Getta Robo, Gaiking, DX Daimos and UFO Robo Grandizer.  As kids, they watched these animes alongside reruns of American cartoon classics like Super Friends, Tor, Blackstar, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear and Scooby-Doo.

But it was in the 80s when they first realized that there was a clear distinction in styles between American and Japanese animation.  And it was Hayao Miyazaki’s full-length feature film, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, which introduced them to the more sophisticated and detail-oriented storylines of Japanese animators.  Since then, they have not stopped watching the constantly evolving and ever entertaining world of anime.

And approximately 4600 anime episodes/movies later, here they are…putting their thoughts about anime on a blog.
